Seondo Electric Co., Ltd. (CEO Hyuk Kwon), a leading Korean power equipment manufacturer, announced on October 13 that it held a business cooperation meeting with Romanian parners at the company’s headquarters in Gyeonggi Province to explore mutual business opportunities between the two companies.
The meeting, organized with the support of the Embassy of Romania in Korea, focused on strengthening cooperation in the modernization of Romania’s energy infrastructure and the development of eco-friendly power equipment solutions aligned with Europe’s Net-Zero policy.
Key executives from Seondo Electric attended the meeting. From Romania, representatives from Romanian energy and industrial-equipment companies participated, introducing their businesses and current projects while touring Seondo Electric’s manufacturing facilities.
Seondo Electric emphasized that Romania is a strategic hub market within its European business expansion plan. The company intends not only to export products but also to establish localized technical-support and service operations through long-term partnerships with trusted Romanian companies.
Building on its long-standing partnership with KHNP, Seondo Electric reaffirmed its intention to contribute to Romania’s upcoming SMR initiatives by applying its proven expertise in nuclear-grade power equipment.
The company’s SF₆-Free eco-friendly GIS—developed in-house—meets both the EU’s environmental-funding criteria and the carbon-neutral goals of Europe’s Net-Zero transition. The solution eliminates one of the most harmful greenhouse gases used in conventional switchgear, offering Romania a sustainable and reliable alternative for its power grid.
Following the meeting, Seondo Electric announced plans to further expand exchanges with Romanian partners and to actively pursue participation in European energy-infrastructure and power-equipment projects.
